Attempts On Her Life
18th March - 20th March
£12It’s timely. It’s distressing. It’s funny. It’s sick. It’s sexy. It’s dark. It’s political. It’s personal. It’s obscene.
It’s an attempt to encapsulate our time.
In a post-modern, post-radical, post-human, post-theatrical world, our ensemble takes to the stage, armed with a salmon and screwdriver.
Through the words of Martin Crimp, one of the most well-renowned British playwrights of the twenty-first century, we offer our theatre in its undigested form.
Who is Anne?
She’s the girl next door
She’s the fatal flaw
She’s the reason for the Trojan war
She’s a pornographic movie star
A killer, and a brand of car.
She exists in the words of people who do not know her
And she could be any one of us
Sentenced to a life under observation
Forced to find a meaning Compelled to find connection
When the world beyond theatre is splintering, we stand on a stage with a broken mirror.
