We are very proud to have received the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Sell-Out Show 2023 Laurel for Attendants
An original comedy show written and performed by Ava and two of her friends, Lola Morgans and Amelie Breach. It tells the story of three flight attendants at ‘Applesby Airlines’ as they interact with the various customers and colleagues they meet with on a daily basis.
The play was devised as part of their Drama A-level and developed into a full scale production following a suggestion that they take it to the Ed Fringe.
They took the show to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2023, performing a sell out run across 9 days at theSpace on the Mile.
Ava and Jason organised the run at Edinburgh, including finding and booking a suitable venue, securing accommodation for the cast and crew, and dealing with the technical requirements of the venue.
Ava and Jason also organised all the marketing for the show, from flyers to posters to social media and the website – theattendants.co.uk
Ava spent a lot of time making contact with other creatives attending EdFringe, and reviewers. This led to some great reviews for the show – Reviews
And also secured an invite for The Attendants to perform in the Feminist Showcase at EdFringe, organised by Tinted Theatre and hosted by Zoo Venues – Southside.
The show attracted the attention of Norfolk media, including articles in the local press, interviews on various podcasts and social media, and an interview on BBC Radio Norfolk and Future Radio.
